Defective Crib Injury Attorney
San Antonio, Texas Injury Attorney Michael Grossman Discusses Defective StorkCraft Crib Recalls

Over two million baby cribs manufactured by Storkcraft were recalled due to safety defects, according to a report filed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. These Storkcraft crib defects primarily include faulty hardware that can cause the side of the crib to detach.
Infants can then fall out of the crib and suffer serious injury. More than a hundred instances of this type of accident have been reported. Numerous infants have been hurt, with some children receiving serious concussions. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that any Storkcraft crib manufactured or sold between January 1993 and October 2009 could be at risk for this particular hardware defect. Essentially, this means that these Storkcraft crib defects have been putting infants at risk for serious injury for approximately sixteen years – and this is not the first time Storkcraft has had to recall its cribs due to safety defects. I wish I could say that this type of safety problem is an isolated event, but it happens in many industries all across the country.
If someone in your family has been hurt due to Storkcraft crib defects (or any other defective product), you may have numerous options available for seeking compensation. Obviously, in cases where the product was improperly designed or manufactured, you can potentially receive compensation from the manufacturer due to negligence. But even in cases where the product was not improperly built, you may be able to file a product liability suit based on a concept called strict liability, which holds product manufacturers responsible for injuries caused by their products even in the absence of negligence. If you are successful in filing a lawsuit, you can receive compensation for numerous types of damages, including medical expenses, property damage, pain and suffering, and the mental/emotional turmoil associated with the accident.
But it is important that you do not try to file this lawsuit alone. Bringing a product liability claim against a product manufacturer is a complex process, and you will probably be facing experienced defense attorneys who will try to prove that you were responsible for the accident (by improperly assembling the crib, for instance). But our experienced attorneys can help you build a strong case and avoid the common pitfalls associated with these types of lawsuits. Whenever our firm takes a case, we conduct a thorough investigation of the accident to determine exactly how it happened and who was liable. We have twenty years of experience investigating and resolving product liability lawsuits, and we know how to negotiate with product manufacturers and their insurance carriers to get you the settlement you need. So if a child in your family has been injured due to Storkcraft crib defects, contact experienced San Antonio product liability attorney Michael Grossman today for a free consultation. Let our firm help you secure the compensation you need and the justice you deserve.
Some of Our Most Recent Successful Cases
$3,200,000.00 Recovery - Wrongful Death / Automobile Accident
Our attorneys were hired to represent the family of a middle aged woman who was killed in a car accident. The incident occurred as another vehicle struck the car that the decedent was a passenger in, head-on on the passenger side. The impact resulted in catastrophic injuries which claimed the life of the decedent.
Our attorneys were hired soon after the accident and we launched a full investigation. Through the course of our investigation, it was soon determined that the head-on collision was caused a failed component in the defendant's vehicle (the particulars of which cannot be elaborated upon per the resolution agreement). Suit was filed against the manufacturer of said component and litigation commenced. The case was successfully resolved through litigation.

$350,000.00 Recovery - Product Liability (Back Injury Resulting in Surgery)
A young woman suffered a back injury that required corrective surgery following a boating accident. The boat in question sped out of control and crashed into a landmass, throwing our client from the boat, as the result of a stuck throttle. Upon inspection of the boat, it was determined that a poor design led to the malfunction and a product liability lawsuit was brought against the manufacturer. The defendants argued that the boat was inappropriately piloted, however, the physical evidence depicted the cause of the accident quite clearly and the case was successfully resolved.
